Executive Diploma in Manufacturing Management

The Executive Diploma in Manufacturing Management is a 120 credit size qualification (UK), equivalent in size to the first year of a UK Masters’s degree.

It is designed for students who want to gain a greater depth and understanding of the core functions of management and business administration. It is designed to develop the skills, knowledge and competencies of managers and future managers who conduct business locally and internationally.

The Executive Diploma in Manufacturing Management builds on the Institute of Manufacturing's traditional strengths and prepares students to compete and succeed at the global level.

In addition to mastering core business disciplines and developing first-rate analytical and problem-solving skills, students gain a solid foundation in international business concepts, develop intercultural management skills, and build cultural awareness.

The composition of the Executive Diploma in Manufacturing Management provides a wealth of valuable grounding for managers. Emphasis is placed on functional and applied skills, complemented by cultural studies designed to enable managers to act sensitively, appropriately and effectively in the international business environment. With a mix of theory and practice throughout the program, it is relevant and immediately applicable to your workplace.

We provide a flexible route for learners who have already achieved management qualifications at a lower level and for learners who do not have management qualifications, but may have qualifications in other areas and/or prior experience the work place.

Upon completion of this program students will receive an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Institute of Management Specialists and also an ATHE (Awards for Training in Higher Education) Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management.

These qualifications are fully regulated by OFQUAL.

Graduates from this program will be eligible to continue their studies, by entering directly into the final year of an MBA program at a range of UK Universities.

As these qualifications are OFQUAL approved, UK universities will generally accept the credits awarded to students.

Who this qualification is for?

This course is suitable for learners who have already achieved qualifications in Business and Administrative management at level 6 and for learners who wish to develop their understanding of key business functions including marketing, human resources, strategy and management while evolving into a confident, influential and successful leader.

Due to the flexibility of the program it is ideal for students who wish to complete a UK Masters degree, but study in their home country for the first year.

Please note that the UK Visas and Immigration Department (UKVI) requires adult students to have acceptable English language ability before they can apply to become an adult student under Tier 4 (General) of the points-based system. An applicant is required to be competent in the English language at a minimum of CEFR level B2 for a QCF qualification at level 6 or above.
