Executive Diploma in Manufacturing
The Executive Diploma in Manufacturing is designed to educate working manufacturing managers at a post graduate level. It has been designed to develop the core knowledge a senior manufacturing manager needs to know.
The programme consists of 7 Core Courses and a compulsory Elective of the student’s choice.

- Human resources: the role of the HR manager in a modern manufacturing environment
- Financial and Cost management
- Risk, Operations and Project management
- Sales and Marketing
- Computerisation and Robotics
Elective Courses (Optional)/Mini Thesis Presentation
All students must take up one elective course. The elective is a means of testing our students by means of a mini-thesis of a minimum of 5000 words. These theses are intended to ensure that the student has understood the core subjects and can apply the knowledge gained on a practical basis.
- Workforce skills: the value of knowledge, skills and experience
- Expedition and improvement of the manufacturing process
- The art of good communication and leadership skills at all levels
- The art of best practice and benchmarking
- The successful management of a manufacturing supply chain
- The Health & Safety at Work Act, with particular emphasis on the safe working of machinery (This Act can of course be substituted for a similar Act in your country of residence if applicable)
- Workforce skills and negotiation
- Logistics Management
- The importance of accurate cost accounting
- Component sourcing

The subjects in the Executive Diploma in Manufacturing can be transferred into the Aldersgate College Professional MBA program.
Graduates of the Executive Diploma in Manufacturing with a minimum of 5 years verifiable management experience may enrol into the Abbey College pre-masters program. This program is recognised by a number of UK Universities for entry into their Masters programs.
